The country park meets the Paralympic guidelines for dressage and Olympic Guidelines for both the Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon disciplines.
The site provides the perfect package for international visitors with the Best Western Mount Pleasant Country House Hotel (top graded hotel in South Yorkshire) on site, the Minster Equine Veterinary Practice, over 350 acres of rolling countryside and excellent transport links.
On-site support services are extensive and include; state-of-the-art fitness suites, an 18m indoor pool, multiple wet rooms and a Farriery service. Private offices/meeting rooms are also provided to facilitate squad management, meetings and international communications between the country park and the hotel.

In addition, The United Kingdom Polocrosse Association (UKPA) have been using the facilities of the Northern Racing College for several years including a training camp for the team's preparation prior to the recent World Cup. No less than 5 of the British team members are from Yorkshire clubs.
Future Plans
There are plans for the development of a new equestrian training centre.. This will include a visitor centre, additional stables, improved cross-country facilities, 80m x 40m outdoor arena with a viewing area facing towards the outdoor arena and inwards to the indoor riding school and an equine swimming pool. Consequently, the range and quality facilities available to equestrian teams will continue to improve up to 2012 and beyond
