The venue has two large team changing rooms, as well as several fully accessible toilets.
The venue is Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) accredited.
In addition to the double court sports hall, the venue also has a number of ancillary areas useful for training camps. These include:- a 25m swimming pool with moveable floor, - Health spa with sauna, relaxation area, steam and treatment rooms and a State-of-the-art fitness suite.
Hillsborough Leisure Centre is winner of the Fitness Industry Associations Flame Awards for three consecutive years (2005, 2006 and 2007).
The venue has health suites including a physiotherapist and sports masseur.
Bar and conference facilities which can easily cater for athletes dietary requirements. These can also be hired out for team administrative offices.
Large parking area for cars, wheelchair adapted minibuses and coaches.
Hillsborough Leisure Centre has hosted the following events:

- National Futsal league games
- IFI conferences and training courses
The venue is included in the London 2012 Pre Games Training Camp Guide for the Olympic sports of Fencing, Judo, Taekwondo, and Indoor Volleyball. It's also included for the Paralympic sports of Boccia, Paralympic Judo, Sitting Volleyball, and Wheelchair Fencing
