The venue regularly hosts national and international competitions for athletes including those with disabilities and has been updated to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act regulations.
The centre has hosted local and regional archery competitions and is the base for the local Chantry Bowman Archery Club . Facilities supporting the centre include a catering facility well rehearsed in dealing with athlete nutrition requirements, eating time requirements and special dietary needs.
