Concord Sports Centre has hosted a number of sporting events/competitions including British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) Karate 2008, Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball fixtures, England Netball 2008 fixtures, Great Britain Handball and a wide variety of regional and local community sporting events.
The venue has 20 large team changing rooms, as well as several fully-accessible toilets.
The venue received for Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) accreditation in September 2008.
As well as the double court sports hall the venue has the following ancillary facilities:
- 120-station gymnasium, group fitness studio and aerobic spinning studio
- Health spa and sauna steam therapy
- 25m swimming pool plus teaching pool
- Nine purpose-built five-a-side pitches
- Full-size (100m x 60m) 3rd Generation synthetic pitch.
- Bar and conference facilities which can easily cater for athletes dietary requirements. These can also be hired out for team administrative offices
- Large parking area for cars, wheelchair adapted minibuses and coaches
The venue is included in the London 2012 Pre Games Training Camp Guide for the Olympic sport of Indoor Volleyball, and the Paralympic sports of Sitting Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby
