The venue regularly hosts both national and international competition for athletes with a disability and has been updated in recent years to comply with the new DDA regulations. Sheffield Hallam University, Collegiate Campus has played host to national fencing, basketball and volleyball camps as well as a wide range of local, regional and national sporting events.
The facility will be home to the strength and conditioning base for one of England Hockey's National Performance Centres and the English Volleyball Development Squad.
Both the venue and accommodation's catering teams are experienced and well rehearsed in dealing with athlete's nutritional requirements taking into account eating time requirements and special dietary needs.
This recently refurbished camp is located at Sheffield hallam University's Collegiate Crescent Campus which is located just over one mile from Sheffield city centre and offers a full range of sport and fitness services including:
- Fully equipped fitness suite with free weights area
- Strength and conditioning suite
- 5 bed physiotherapy suite (staffed by the University's fully qualified HPC registered physiotherapists and sports injury specialists)
- Fitness assessment room
- full audio/satellite TV system
- Multi-use floodlit games area (60x40m)
- Sports Hall
- Gymnasium
- Movement Studio
- Changing facilities
The venue also has the flexibility to host Sitting Volleyball and Judo.
