Sheffield will use the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to help inspire people to get involved with volunteering. We want to create a strong system for sport volunteers in the city, enabling all of those with an interest to develop and utilise their skills appropriately.
Coaches and volunteers are the 'lifeblood' of sport, both in supporting participation and developing sporting talent. Beyond the benefits to sport, coaching and volunteering support extensive community activity and increase the skills and employability of all the individuals involved.
